Minifaber and the acquisition of Gaggio Tech

The facts, and what they mean

Auteur : Minifaber

Since 17 September 2026 the Gaggio Tech Srl production site (former Saga Coffee), in Gaggio Montano near Bologna, has officially been part of Minifaber. The operation brought 38 people into Minifaber; for the others it was not possible to safeguard their jobs.

Gaggio Tech srl - headquarters

A path that started years ago

This acquisition is not a sudden decision. It is the result of a path that began several years ago and that led us, step by step, to acquire the production site directly.

Over these years we worked side by side with Gaggio and went through difficult moments together. When the time came to decide what future to give this business, knowing its people and its work first-hand weighed as much as the industrial analysis.

The industrial reasons

Gaggio brings Minifaber skills, production capacity and experience that can contribute to the growth of the company. That is why we chose to acquire the site rather than limit ourselves to a partnership.

The people

It mattered to us to try to ensure continuity not only for the production activity, but also for the work of the people who are part of it. It was not possible to do so for everyone:

38 people joined Minifaber, while 79 lost their jobs. It is a part of this story we do not want to forget, and it makes the responsibility with which we approach this new phase all the more important.

To our colleagues from Gaggio we extend an official welcome to Minifaber. And we want to thank everyone who, both in Gaggio and in Seriate, made this transition possible: it has been an intense process, one that called for hard work, availability and the ability to adapt.

What happens now

A new phase begins: building the future of Gaggio within Minifaber. We know it is a demanding choice, and we face it fully aware of what it has involved.
